Military Tycoon trading guide: Trade Server, value and safer deals

Trading adds a player-driven economy on top of normal progression. The hard part is not pressing the trade button — it is understanding what an offer is really worth.

When was trading added?

According to the Military Tycoon Wiki, the trading feature was officially released on October 12, 2024 in the Trading Update. That feature lets players exchange value with one another instead of relying only on direct unlocks.

Why a separate trading economy develops

Vehicles and items differ in rarity, usefulness, availability and demand. Those factors create a market where two items with similar original acquisition difficulty can trade very differently later.

How to evaluate a trade

  1. Demand: how many players actually want the item?
  2. Liquidity: how quickly can you trade it again?
  3. Availability: is it still obtainable, seasonal or event-limited?
  4. Utility: is the vehicle or item genuinely useful in combat?
  5. Spread: what is the gap between what buyers offer and sellers ask?

Buy low and sell higher — but define “low” first

A profitable-looking trade can be misleading if the item has almost no buyers. The strongest opportunities are usually items you understand well enough to estimate both a conservative resale price and the time needed to find a buyer.

Use Diamonds as a common unit

Diamonds make mixed offers easier to compare. Instead of saying “vehicle A plus two items for vehicle B,” you can estimate every part of the deal in Diamond terms and compare the total. That does not make the estimate perfect, but it makes your reasoning more consistent.

Safety checklist before confirming

  • Re-check the final trade window after every change.
  • Do not accept pressure to confirm instantly.
  • Keep screenshots or video for very large trades.
  • Never give another player your password, cookies, recovery codes or 2FA codes.
  • For any external payment, verify the exact network and address yourself before sending.

Keep a trade journal

For each deal, record the date, item, Diamonds paid, estimated market value and final resale. After 20–30 trades, patterns become visible: some items are consistently liquid, while others trap capital for days.
