Decide what you are trying to achieve before accepting random offers. A clear target makes it easier to reject weak trades.
Compare the whole offer
Do not judge a trade from one flashy item. Compare the complete package, demand for each item and how easily you could trade it again.
Do not rush confirmations
Re-check the final trade window. If the other player changes the offer at the last second, cancel and review it again.
Trading for profit
A simple approach is to look for assets offered below the value you believe other players will realistically pay, then resell later. Patience matters.
