What is Raptor X?
Raptor X is a matte-black Limited Edition variant of the Raptor. Its main distinction is flexibility: instead of one fixed weapon package, it offers two weapon loadouts and the Super Sonic Dodge ability.
This gives the pilot a choice between conventional fighter combat and a more specialized anti-flare / area-damage setup.
Loadout 1: Air-Air Combat
The first loadout is named Air-Air Combat. It combines a high-capacity explosive machine gun with conventional lock-on missiles.
| Weapon | Documented behavior |
|---|---|
| Explosive machine gun | 200 rounds, right-positioned, front-aimed, good damage |
| Lock-on missiles | 8 missiles, average performance |
200-round explosive machine gun
The Air-Air loadout includes a 200-round explosive-round machine gun. It is positioned on the right side of the aircraft and aims forward.
A 200-round magazine gives the Raptor X plenty of sustained fire time. Because the weapon is front-aimed, good nose positioning still matters: the pilot needs to keep the aircraft pointed toward the target rather than expecting a turret to track independently.
Eight conventional lock-on missiles
The same loadout includes 8 average lock-on missiles. These give the Raptor X a conventional missile option that works well alongside the explosive machine gun.
The practical advantage is flexibility: missiles can create pressure while the pilot lines up the gun, and the gun can continue dealing damage after the missile cycle has been used.
Loadout 2: Super Sonic Missiles
The second loadout is named Super Sonic Missiles. It changes the fighter's role significantly.
Instead of the 200-round machine gun plus 8 conventional lock-ons, this setup provides:
- 4 anti-flare supersonic missiles;
- low individual missile damage;
- large AOE range;
- 3 drop bombs;
- weak bomb damage;
- no penetration;
- large AOE on the bombs.
Four anti-flare supersonic missiles
The second loadout's standout weapon is the set of 4 anti-flare supersonic missiles. Their individual damage is documented as low, but they compensate with a large AOE.
The anti-flare property is strategically important because it reduces the reliability of one of the most common defensive responses to lock-on missiles.
Why large AOE matters
Large area-of-effect weapons are useful when precision is difficult or when multiple targets occupy the same general area. Even when direct damage is not exceptional, AOE can punish clustered targets and make evasive movement more difficult.
That makes the Super Sonic Missiles loadout more about control and disruption than raw single-target burst damage.
Three drop bombs
The second loadout also has 3 weak, non-penetrating drop bombs with large AOE.
Because the bombs do not penetrate and are described as weak, they should not be treated as a primary tank-killing weapon. Their value is better understood as area pressure against targets or positions beneath the aircraft.
Super Sonic Dodge
Raptor X also features the Super Sonic Dodge ability. This is one of the most important reasons the aircraft has such high Functionality.
A fighter with both offensive flexibility and an evasive ability can survive longer in missile-heavy air battles. The dodge should be used to break dangerous attack sequences and immediately reposition rather than simply activated without a reason.
How to use Raptor X in PvP
1. Pick the right loadout before committing
Use Air-Air Combat when you want sustained gunfire and conventional lock-on pressure. Use Super Sonic Missiles when anti-flare capability and AOE are more valuable.
2. Keep the nose on target with the machine gun
The 200-round gun is front-aimed. Good turns and positioning matter more than simply holding the fire button.
3. Save anti-flare missiles for valuable targets
You only have four in that loadout, so they are best used when the enemy's defensive flares would otherwise be a serious obstacle.
4. Use bombs for area pressure
The bombs are not powerful penetrating weapons. Drop them where their large AOE can matter rather than expecting them to behave like heavy anti-armor bombs.
5. Use Super Sonic Dodge defensively
The best dodge is the one that prevents a dangerous incoming attack and creates a counterattack angle.
Strengths
- two distinct weapon loadouts;
- 200-round explosive machine gun;
- 8 conventional lock-on missiles;
- 4 anti-flare supersonic missiles;
- large-AOE missiles and bombs;
- Super Sonic Dodge;
- high Functionality 9/10;
- Rising market trend.
Weaknesses and tradeoffs
- anti-flare missiles have low individual damage;
- drop bombs are weak and non-penetrating;
- front-aimed machine gun requires good pilot alignment;
- the pilot must understand when each loadout is appropriate;
- Scarcity 6/10 is solid but not at the very top of the Limited Edition market.

What does RAP 412K mean?
The in-game screenshot shows RAP 412K. That sits inside the current 400K–450K tracked Gem range, so the screenshot and current value reference are relatively close.
RAP is still a different market metric from a current value range. Actual completed trades can vary depending on demand, stars and the specific items offered in return.
Why Functionality is 9/10
Raptor X scores highly because it is not locked into one combat style. The player can switch between sustained fighter combat and specialized anti-flare/AOE pressure.
That versatility is useful in real PvP because the best weapon setup can change depending on the opponent.
Is Raptor X worth keeping?
For active fighter pilots, Raptor X is a strong hold. It combines high functionality, good demand and a Rising trend with a weapon kit that is genuinely different from many ordinary aircraft.
For traders, the 400K–450K range is high enough to matter but still far below the multi-million-Gem tier, which can make it easier to include in medium-to-large deals.
Who should use Raptor X?
- players who enjoy air-to-air PvP;
- pilots who want both gun and missile combat;
- players who need anti-flare missiles;
- players comfortable switching weapon loadouts;
- traders looking for a high-demand Rising Limited Edition aircraft.
