What is Elite Zeplin-X?

Elite Zeplin-X is an Exotic version of the large Zeplin-X airship. Even though it visually behaves like a blimp, the Zeplin-X family is documented as functioning like a helicopter-class vehicle.

The Elite variant does not replace the original airship concept. Instead, it starts with a stronger cannon configuration and an improved bomb salvo.

Plasma cannons by default

The biggest quality-of-life advantage is that Plasma cannons are already equipped. On the normal Zeplin-X, the stronger cannon setup is associated with an upgrade path; Elite Zeplin-X receives the Plasma configuration by default.

This gives the Elite version immediate access to the stronger sustained-fire setup without needing to treat the basic explosive cannon as its final configuration.

Two extra bombs per salvo

The second confirmed difference is the bombing system. The current tracker says Elite Zeplin-X has two more drop bombs within a single salvo compared with the normal version.

This makes the bombing run more useful for area pressure, ground targets and attacks on positions below the airship.

AI defensive turrets

The Zeplin-X family is known for its AI turret network. Community documentation describes these turrets as automatically engaging aerial targets and having surprisingly long effective range.

This is important because a huge airship cannot rely on agility like a fighter. Automatic defenses help punish aircraft that stay too close for too long.

Large target, high exposure

The normal Zeplin-X is also documented as having a major weakness: its size. A huge airship is easier to hit with aircraft cannons and anti-air weapons than a small fighter.

That means the Elite version should not be flown as though Functionality 10/10 makes it invulnerable. The weapon package is useful, but the airframe remains visually large and easy to track.

How to use Elite Zeplin-X in PvP

1. Keep Plasma cannons active

The Elite version's default Plasma setup is one of its main advantages. Use the cannons for sustained pressure instead of relying only on bombing runs.

2. Use extra bombs against ground positions

The two additional bombs increase the usefulness of each salvo. Drop them where multiple targets, structures or NPCs are concentrated.

3. Let AI defenses work against aircraft

Do not ignore your automatic turret coverage. Enemy pilots entering the airship's defensive area can take pressure even while you focus elsewhere.

4. Do not stay predictable

Because the Zeplin-X is a large target, predictable hovering makes it much easier for a fighter or anti-air vehicle to maintain fire.

5. Use range and height

The airship is strongest when it can apply pressure without sitting directly over the most dangerous ground weapons.

The in-game screenshot shows RAP 21K. That falls inside the current 10K–25K tracked Gem range.

RAP and current value ranges are still separate market indicators, but in this case they are reasonably aligned.

Why Functionality is 10/10

The maximum Functionality rating reflects the amount of utility packed into one airship: default Plasma cannons, improved bombing, automatic defensive fire and the ability to pressure both air and ground targets.

Is Elite Zeplin-X worth keeping?

For gameplay, its 10/10 Functionality makes it much more interesting than the modest Gem value might suggest. For trading, it is a lower-value Exotic item with moderate demand rather than a high-end collector asset.
