What is Defiant-X?

Defiant-X is the upgraded version of the normal Defiant helicopter. It arrived with WarPass Season 11 and was placed at level 30 of the Premium track.

The vehicle combines reconnaissance, high DPS and mobility in one small airframe. The current value tracker describes it as one of the best helicopters in the game, while the Wiki notes that it outclasses most helicopter-class vehicles.

Recon Radar

The Defiant-X carries a Recon Radar that can reveal players, NPCs and vehicles in real time on the minimap.

This is useful before a fight even begins. A pilot can identify nearby threats, choose targets and avoid blindly flying into enemy anti-air positions.

100-round Explosive Gatling Gun

The primary weapon is an Explosive Gatling Gun with 100 rounds.

The Wiki describes it as dealing very high damage and having an extremely high rate of fire. Most of the Defiant-X's DPS comes from this weapon, which is why accuracy matters so much.

High fire rate, limited magazine

The Gatling Gun burns through its 100-round magazine quickly. That creates one of the helicopter's main combat rhythms: very high burst and sustained DPS while loaded, followed by a reload window that opponents can exploit.

Do not hold the trigger at extreme range. The documented spread is poor enough that long-range firing wastes too many rounds.

Eight fast-reloading missiles

Defiant-X also carries 8 missiles. The Wiki describes them as above-average damage, above-average speed and extremely fast to reload.

The full missile supply is documented as taking only about 3 seconds to refill, making the secondary weapon excellent for cleaning up targets or covering the Gatling Gun reload.

Why Defiant-X is so dangerous

Its small airframe, high Gatling Gun DPS and rapid missile reload make it difficult to punish. It does not need to wait for one major weapon cooldown before re-entering a fight.

Even common anti-air ground vehicles have to respect the Defiant-X because the explosive cannon can remove health very quickly if the pilot stays accurate.

How to use Defiant-X in PvP

1. Fight at close-to-medium range

The Gatling Gun's spread makes long-range fights inefficient. Close enough that most rounds can connect without exposing yourself to a point-blank trap.

2. Use missiles during cannon reloads

The 3-second missile refill is one of the helicopter's best advantages. Keep applying pressure while the primary gun recovers.

3. Lead moving ground vehicles

The missiles need travel time. Fire ahead of fast-moving targets instead of aiming directly at their current position.

4. Use Recon Radar before committing

Check nearby players and vehicles first. The radar gives Defiant-X information that many ordinary attack helicopters do not have.

5. Use flares intelligently

Helicopters are naturally exposed to missile spam. Save flares for real lock-on threats rather than using them too early.

The supplied in-game screenshot shows RAP 148K. That is considerably below the current 250K–350K tracked Gem range.

RAP can lag behind current community values or reflect older trades. In this case, the current tracker suggests Defiant-X is trading substantially above the displayed RAP.
