Alicorn in Military Tycoon — Value, Weapons & Carrier Guide
Alicorn is one of the most unusual naval vehicles in Military Tycoon. It is a huge submarine aircraft carrier with a flight deck, aircraft spawning, a retractable railgun and the ability to fight while submerged. The supplied card labels it Legendary, shows RAP 31K and gives Health by far the longest of its three Carrier Stats bars.
Legendary · Carrier Stats · RAP 31K
Health is the standout displayed stat. Damage and Speed are considerably shorter.
What is Alicorn?
Alicorn was introduced during the first part of the Christmas 2023 event. It is not simply a reskinned carrier. The vehicle can dive below the surface, bring aircraft into the fight and deploy a large railgun from the flight-deck area. That combination gives Alicorn a distinctive identity even among Military Tycoon’s more expensive and rare naval vehicles.
The design also explains why the card uses Carrier Stats rather than ordinary ship or submarine stats. In practice, Alicorn behaves like a mobile naval base. It can transport its own aircraft options and attack large targets, but it needs much more open water than a normal submarine.
How Alicorn was originally obtained
The original event did not use crates or a direct Gem purchase. Players earned Alicorn by destroying Santa Bots. Each elimination awarded 500 event points, and the final vehicle reward required 250,000 points. That works out to 500 Santa Bot eliminations.
Once the required total was reached, Alicorn was awarded automatically. The grind was substantial because the bots had to respawn and other players could compete for the same targets. That limited-time requirement is part of the reason Alicorn still attracts attention in trades years after the event.
Alicorn stats explained
| Field | Confirmed information | What it means in play |
|---|---|---|
| Name | Alicorn | Use the exact name when checking RAP and offers. |
| Rarity | Legendary | Confirmed by the orange rarity label on the card. |
| Category | Carrier Stats | Alicorn is a naval carrier rather than an ordinary combat boat. |
| Health | Longest displayed bar | Durability is the clearest strength of its card profile. |
| Speed | Much shorter than Health | Its size and turning matter more than straight-line travel alone. |
| Damage | Shortest displayed bar | The railgun hits hard, but damage output is limited by aiming and firing cycle. |
| Card counter | 260/1500 beside an icon | The screenshot does not label this as ammunition or progression. |
| RAP | 31K | A reference number, not a guaranteed live trade price. |
The bars give a useful overview without printing exact health, speed or damage numbers. Their message is clear: Alicorn is built to survive. It is not presented as a fast naval vehicle, and its offensive value depends heavily on whether the railgun works correctly in the current server.
Alicorn railgun
The main player-controlled weapon is a large railgun built into the upper deck. The weapon can be deployed for combat and retracted when the carrier deck needs to be cleared. Launch-era gameplay showed the gun destroying a bridge in one shot and damaging large warships, while another test needed roughly seven hits to destroy a Yamato. Those are useful historical benchmarks, not guaranteed 2026 damage values.
The Alicorn railgun is not hitscan. Its shot travels across the map, so the player has to lead a moving target instead of placing the crosshair directly on it and expecting an instant hit. This makes the gun much better against battleships, carriers, bases and bridges than against fast boats or aircraft.
Alicorn can also fire the railgun while submerged. That sounds extremely strong, but the weapon’s slow aiming and the carrier’s size keep it from being an easy all-purpose solution. A missed shot leaves the player in a poor position if the enemy closes the distance.
Aircraft carrier features
The top of Alicorn works as a runway and allows the owner to spawn aircraft. That gives the vehicle strategic value beyond its railgun: it can act as a forward launch point instead of forcing the player to return to a land base every time an aircraft is needed.
The railgun and runway share the same upper-deck space. When changing roles, retract the weapon and make sure the deck is clear before trying to use an aircraft. The carrier is more comfortable as a planned staging point than as something that switches roles in the middle of a close fight.
Submerging and underwater combat
Alicorn can dive and return to the surface, but both transitions take time. Submerging after the enemy has already lined up a shot is not a reliable emergency escape. Begin the dive early and use deep water; the hull is too large for many rivers and tight coastal passages.
Underwater positioning can hide much of the carrier and lets the railgun attack from an unexpected angle. The trade-off is awareness. It is harder to track aircraft, shore threats and nearby ships while managing a slow ascent or descent, so the safest approach is to choose the next position before changing depth.
How to use Alicorn effectively
- Stay in open sea. Alicorn needs a wide turning circle and cannot move comfortably through the city or narrow river routes.
- Use the railgun on large targets. Battleships, carriers, buildings and bridges are easier to hit than fast vehicles.
- Lead every moving target. The railgun projectile has travel time; aiming directly at a moving ship usually sends the shot behind it.
- Dive before danger reaches you. Slow submerging and resurfacing mean the decision must be made early.
- Choose one role at a time. Set up the deck for aircraft operations or deploy the railgun instead of switching repeatedly under pressure.
- Do not rely blindly on AI defense. Confirm the current turrets are active before leaving Alicorn exposed to aircraft.

Alicorn RAP, value and demand
The supplied card shows RAP 31K. The community market snapshot checked on September 13, 2026 separately estimates Alicorn at 10,000 to 16,000 Gems. It records 7/10 demand, 7/10 scarcity, a slowly rising trend and confirms that the item is tradable.
The same snapshot gives Alicorn a lower 4/10 functionality score, which matches the practical issues around size, turning and the railgun. This is a good example of why rarity and combat usefulness should not be treated as the same thing.
| Trading signal | Current snapshot | How to use it |
|---|---|---|
| RAP | 31K | Confirmed on the supplied item card. |
| Gem estimate | 10K–16K | Use as a range and recheck before a large trade. |
| Demand | 7/10 | There is solid interest, although a buyer is never guaranteed. |
| Scarcity | 7/10 | The old event reward is not expected to be available everywhere. |
| Trend | Rising slowly | Do not turn a gradual movement into an unrealistic overpay. |
| Functionality | 4/10 | Unique features are held back by handling and weapon issues. |
Why RAP 31K is not the same as a 31K Gem price
RAP is the number printed on the item card. The 10K–16K range is a separate market estimate based on trading conditions. Alicorn can therefore show 31K RAP while actual traders value it lower. Asking prices may be higher again, especially when an owner focuses on event history or scarcity.
Before accepting an exchange, compare several recent offers and check whether the railgun works in the current build. A player buying Alicorn as a collection item may care most about scarcity; a player buying it for combat should place more weight on functionality.
Is Alicorn worth getting?
Alicorn is worth considering if you want one of the game’s most distinctive naval vehicles. Few items combine an aircraft deck, underwater movement, high health and a heavy railgun in one package. It also has recognizable Christmas-event history and a slowly rising market trend.
It is not the best choice for every battle. Players who want responsive steering, narrow-water access or dependable anti-air protection may prefer a smaller ship. Alicorn works best when the map gives it room and the owner treats it as a mobile base rather than a normal attack boat.
