What is Typhoon-X?

Typhoon-X is the Exotic special version of the regular Eurofighter Typhoon. The Wiki lists it as a non-buildable Aerial Vehicle with the Super Fighter class and an Anime Skin special.

It originally came from the 2022 Eurofighter Event and later returned through the Spinner and bundle-style acquisition methods.

Eurofighter Event history

The Eurofighter Event ran from November 12 to November 19, 2022. The original event first rewarded the regular Eurofighter Typhoon, and Typhoon-X was then added as an additional limited prize during the event.

The event revolved around destroying map buildings and structures. After Typhoon-X was added, the Wiki records a requirement of 5,000 destroyed buildings or structures for the expanded event progression.

10 lock-on missiles

Typhoon-X carries 10 lock-on missiles, which is one of its clearest advantages over the regular Typhoon.

The regular Typhoon has only six missiles, so the X variant gives the pilot more shots before exhausting the missile package.

150-round explosive machine gun

The secondary weapon is a machine gun with a 150-round magazine.

The Wiki describes Typhoon-X as having an Explosive Machine Gun / 360-degree machine gun. It was once much stronger, but later balancing changes significantly reduced the aircraft's effectiveness.

Hypersonic speed boost

Typhoon-X also has a hypersonic speed boost, activated with Left Shift in the documented keyboard controls.

This gives the aircraft better repositioning and escape potential than its static Speed stat alone suggests.

Flares

The Wiki documents G as the flare control. Flares give the aircraft a defensive answer to lock-on missile pressure, although they do not compensate for the Typhoon-X's low Health against strong guns and modern meta aircraft.

Why Typhoon-X was nerfed

The Wiki says Typhoon-X once had a powerful machine gun and missiles but was later nerfed heavily. Its current tracker description reaches the same conclusion from a modern perspective: it is an upgraded Typhoon, but mostly a starter plane compared with today's stronger vehicles.

This is why the aircraft can have strong Demand and collector appeal while still receiving only Functionality 3/10.

How to use Typhoon-X in PvP

1. Use the missile count as your main advantage

Ten missiles give you enough ammunition to keep pressure on an opponent longer than the regular Typhoon.

2. Do not stay in a head-on gun fight

Base Health is only 2.08K and the current card shows a very small Health bar. Strong modern fighters can delete Typhoon-X quickly if you remain predictable.

3. Use boost to disengage

The hypersonic speed boost is more valuable as a positioning tool than as an excuse to stay in a losing fight.

4. Time flares carefully

Flares help against lock-ons, but once the aircraft is taking direct gunfire, its low Health becomes the bigger problem.

5. Treat it as a starter / collector fighter

The current tracker explicitly says it will lose to most current meta aircraft. Use it because you like the vehicle or its history, not because it is a top-tier competitive fighter.

The difference is not as extreme as on some older items, but a normal copy should still be compared with current trade values rather than priced from RAP alone.
