What is TU-22M?

TU-22M was released on February 3, 2024 through the TU-22M Quest. It is a permanent, non-buildable air vehicle in the Bomber class.

The quest ran for one week and awarded the level 50 TU-22M at 250,000 event points. Players earned points through rebirths and defeating players or enemies.

Dual explosive machine guns

The primary weapon is a pair of forward-facing explosive machine guns. They carry 250 rounds and reload in 7 seconds.

They provide decent sustained damage, but the guns cannot aim independently of the aircraft. To keep firing accurately, the pilot has to keep the nose of the bomber aligned with the target.

Speed Bombs

TU-22M carries 2 Speed Bombs. These are the aircraft's signature weapon and create a noticeably larger explosion radius than standard bombs.

The explosive machine guns are fixed forward, so your flight path and firing angle have to work together.

3. Avoid dedicated fighters

TU-22M has no air-to-air missiles. If a strong fighter commits to the chase, the bomber has few tools for winning that matchup.

4. Use it for ground pressure

The aircraft is much more useful against ground targets than in air superiority fights.

Is TU-22M worth keeping?

For gameplay, it is worth keeping if you enjoy old-school bombers and large-area ground attacks, but newer aircraft offer stronger all-round kits.

For trading, the current 2.5K–3.1K range, Demand 4/10 and dropping trend make it a relatively inexpensive Legendary. Do not value a normal copy near RAP 5.1K unless the market moves back up.
