Surrogat in Military Tycoon — Anti-Air, Anti-Naval, RAP & Trading Guide

Surrogat is a Legendary event submarine built around two combat modes: one for aircraft and one for naval targets. It can fire several missile types while submerged, use torpedoes against ships and lock large anti-naval missiles onto surface targets. The supplied in-game card shows RAP 8.3K.

Main feature: Surrogat switches between anti-air and anti-naval roles instead of relying on one universal loadout. That gives it a much broader target selection than a basic submarine.

What is Surrogat?

Surrogat is an event submarine released on 9/3/2025. It is permanent, not buildable, and currently appears as a Legendary naval vehicle.

The submarine was designed around two distinct weapon modes, letting the driver change the loadout depending on whether the immediate threat is in the air or on the water.

Anti-Air mode

Anti-Air mode is built for attacking aircraft. The first weapon is a set of 10 standard lock-on missiles that provide consistent guided damage against air targets.

The second weapon adds 12 Power Missiles. These hit harder than the standard set and can be launched while the submarine is underwater, allowing Surrogat to attack without fully exposing itself on the surface.

10 Lock-On MissilesReliable guided anti-air pressure.
12 Power MissilesHigher-damage missiles that can be fired underwater.

Anti-Naval mode

Anti-Naval mode changes the submarine into a ship hunter. The primary weapon is a pair of 2 torpedoes that deal strong damage to large or slow naval targets.

The secondary weapon is a pair of 2 anti-naval missiles. These missiles are slower, but they can launch from underwater and lock onto naval targets.

This lock-on behavior is one of Surrogat's most distinctive mechanics because it gives the submarine guided anti-ship pressure from below the surface.

2 TorpedoesHeavy underwater damage against large or slow ships.
2 Anti-Naval MissilesSlow guided missiles that can lock onto naval targets from underwater.

Underwater missile attacks

One of the strongest practical parts of Surrogat is the ability to launch important missile weapons while submerged.

Diving can hide the submarine from many bullets and missile attacks while still allowing it to return fire. That makes positioning below the surface a core part of using Surrogat effectively.

Current Surrogat market value

The supplied card confirms RAP 8.3K. A reliable fresh standalone Gem Low / Gem High result for Surrogat was not available in the public search used for this build, so this page does not invent a current price.

If Surrogat is already present in your site's limited_items.json, this section automatically displays Gem Low, Gem High, Demand, Scarcity, Functionality, Trend and other live market fields.

RAP 8.3K

The current card displays RAP 8.3K. RAP is useful for a quick comparison, but the actual live Gem range and recent offers should still be checked before a trade.

Trading note: Surrogat has a more specialized combat kit than a basic submarine, but the current market should still decide the price. Do not value it solely from the 8.3K RAP.

Advantages

  • can fire several missile types while underwater;
  • can dive to avoid many bullets and missile attacks;
  • unique guided anti-naval missile mechanic;
  • separate anti-air and anti-ship modes;
  • good overall damage potential;
  • fast and responsive for a submarine.

Disadvantages

  • low health compared with heavier naval vehicles;
  • diving does not make it immune to cannon fire or railgun shots;
  • torpedoes have limited range before self-destructing;
  • other submarines are immune to the naval lock-on mechanic.

Community tier

A recent all-item community ranking places Surrogat in E tier for overall gameplay strength.

That placement does not make the submarine useless. Its strength is flexibility: it can pressure aircraft, ships and targets from underwater, but it competes with many newer naval vehicles that have larger health pools and stronger all-purpose weapon systems.

How to use Surrogat

1. Stay submerged when possible

Surrogat gains much of its value from being able to attack below the surface. Use depth to reduce exposure before launching missiles.

2. Switch modes before the target closes in

Choose Anti-Air for aircraft and Anti-Naval for ships. The submarine is strongest when the correct weapon set is already selected before the fight starts.

3. Use torpedoes on large targets

The torpedoes are most effective against large or slower ships where their limited range is less of a problem.

4. Use anti-naval missiles for tracking

When a surface target is difficult to hit manually, the guided anti-naval missiles give Surrogat a more reliable option.

5. Do not rely on diving against cannons and railguns

Going underwater helps against many attacks, but heavy direct-fire weapons can still punish the submarine.

Is Surrogat worth keeping?

For gameplay, it is worth keeping if you enjoy submarines and want a vehicle that can change roles without returning to base.

For trading, RAP 8.3K should be treated as only one reference point. Check the current Gem range from your live value list before accepting an offer.
