Nuke Mortar Truck in Military Tycoon — Weapons, Tactics & Value

Nuke Mortar Truck is a Limited Edition artillery vehicle for players who prefer attacking from cover instead of trading damage head-on. Regular mortar shells follow an arcing path, a nuclear round becomes available after the special meter fills, and smoke helps the truck escape the response.

The key mechanic: the nuclear round is not always available. The special meter must fill first, so positioning and regular mortar hits matter more than the radiation symbol on the button.

What kind of vehicle is it?

Nuke Mortar Truck is an upgraded version of the regular Mortar Truck. Both vehicles use arcing indirect fire, allowing a shell to travel over a hill, wall or other obstruction. The Nuke version adds a nuclear attack that becomes available after the special meter fills.

This is not a frontline tank. In open ground the truck gives away its biggest advantage. Choose cover first, use regular mortar fire, wait for a worthwhile nuclear target, and move before the enemy identifies the launch point.

How the nuclear shot works

The nuclear round is a prepared finisher, not a replacement for the ordinary mortar. While the meter is empty, the truck fights like artillery: find an angle, pressure predictable targets and avoid showing the vehicle to direct fire.

Using the nuke on a lone light target is usually poor value. It matters most against a heavy vehicle, several enemies standing close together or a target that cannot quickly leave the impact area.

Landing arcing mortar shots

  • stationary and slow vehicles are easier to hit;
  • moving targets require the player to lead the landing point;
  • terrain height changes the practical impact point, so treat the first shell as a ranging shot;
  • relocate after several shots even if the opponent has not fired back yet.

Smoke screen

Smoke does not deal damage and cannot rescue a bad position by itself. Its job is to buy time: finish the attack, reduce incoming pressure and leave a firing point that has already been exposed. Waiting until the last sliver of health is usually too late.

PvP tactics

1. Plan the escape before the first shot

Cover is only useful when the truck can leave it. Check the route out before opening fire.

2. Pressure predictable targets with regular shells

Do not chase every fast vehicle. Artillery performs better against heavy vehicles, stationary targets and players already occupied by another fight.

3. Save the nuclear round for a worthwhile target

The meter takes time to build. One patient hit is more useful than an impressive miss.

4. Smoke and relocate after the important shot

A large attack reveals the firing point. Do not stay in place simply because the next reload has already started.

Arcing mortarYesYes
Nuclear shotNoAfter the meter fills
RoleAccessible artilleryArtillery with a prepared burst finisher

The regular Mortar Truck is cheaper and makes a good introduction to indirect fire. Nuke Mortar Truck costs far more but adds the nuclear finisher and attracts stronger market demand. Both are still artillery vehicles; price alone does not turn the Nuke version into a heavy tank.

When was it added?

Nuke Mortar Truck appeared during the July 2025 update cycle and was available to players by the middle of the month. This page does not present a precise rollout day without a primary update log.

Current Nuke Mortar Truck value

As of September 16, 2026, the practical market reference is 1.3M–1.5M Gems. The item card shows RAP 1.4M, which sits inside that range. Level, stars and the urgency of each trade can still move an individual offer.

Demand is listed at 9/10, scarcity at 8/10 and functionality at 8/10. It is a strong market item, but the Limited Edition label is not a reason to accept the first inflated offer.

Is it worth keeping?

Yes for a player who enjoys artillery and deliberate positioning. Few vehicles combine arcing fire, defensive smoke and a nuclear burst in the same package. A player who prefers constant forward pressure and direct duels will usually be better served by a heavy tank.
