Mech Transport X in Military Tycoon — Complete Guide

Mech Transport X is one of the most unusual ground vehicles in Military Tycoon. Instead of behaving like a conventional tank, it acts as a mobile combat platform that carries two deployable Super Mech Walker UGVs and adds its own explosive machine gun to the fight.

Why this vehicle is different: you are not controlling only one weapon platform. The truck can fight while two Super Mech Walker UGVs create additional pressure, giving the vehicle a very different playstyle from a normal tank or a single standalone mech.

What is the Mech Transport X?

Mech Transport X is a maneuverable Limited Edition truck transport. Its core feature is the ability to deploy two Super Mech Walker UGVs from the rear of the vehicle.

The regular Mech Transport follows the same general concept, but the X version upgrades the carried units to Super Mech Walkers. That change is what turns the vehicle from a transport with support units into a much more serious multi-unit combat platform.

100-round explosive machine gun

The truck itself is armed with an explosive 100-round machine gun. Its strongest matchup is against aerial targets. Against ground vehicles and soldiers its damage is more average, while naval targets are a weaker matchup for the gun.

This means the truck is not just a carrier waiting behind the fight. The driver can actively participate in combat while the two UGVs are deployed.

Two Super Mech Walker UGVs

The biggest reason to use Mech Transport X is the pair of Super Mech Walker unmanned ground vehicles. Each walker can be deployed or recalled individually, allowing you to manage them separately instead of treating them as a single unit.

That creates several useful possibilities:

  • deploy both walkers for maximum pressure;
  • keep one close while sending the other forward;
  • recall a damaged or badly positioned walker without recalling both;
  • force an opponent to choose between attacking the truck or the deployed UGVs.

While a walker is being recalled, it cannot continue targeting or firing at enemies, so recall timing matters.

Nuclear lock-on missile salvos

The Super Mech Walker UGVs use a four-shot nuclear missile salvo with lock-on capability. Their reload is relatively fast, allowing repeated missile pressure rather than one attack followed by a long downtime.

The lock-on missiles can engage multiple vehicle types. Because the truck itself is also firing, the combined pressure can be much harder to manage than the damage from a single combat vehicle.

Target synchronization with the truck

An especially useful behavior is that the Super Mech Walker UGVs can appear to follow the target being engaged by the truck's machine gun. In practice, this can help concentrate the truck and walker attacks on the same enemy.

Against a high-health vehicle, focusing several sources of damage on one target is usually more valuable than spreading fire across several opponents.

Interaction with Corsair-X reflection

The nuclear missiles used by these UGVs have an unusual interaction with the Corsair-X defensive ability: they are reported not to be reflected by its reflection effect and can pass through the reflective bubble.

That gives Mech Transport X an interesting matchup against a defensive mechanic that can be troublesome for other projectile-based weapons.

There is a trade-off: these nuclear missiles do not apply the lingering burning effect associated with some other nuclear weapons.

Recalling and entering the Super Mech Walkers

After a Super Mech Walker is recalled to the truck bed, a player can enter it. In that position it behaves much like a normal Super Mech Walker but with its mobility restricted by the fact that it is sitting on the transport.

This effectively allows the recalled mech to function as a heavy player-controlled weapon platform on the back of the truck.

Known issue: entering a recalled mech can currently cause the transport to malfunction. Reported problems include losing movement, machine-gun fire, deployment or recall functions. If the vehicle becomes stuck in this state, respawning the vehicle may be required.

How strong is Mech Transport X in PvP?

Its strength is not based on one oversized cannon. The strength comes from simultaneous threats. An opponent can be dealing with the truck, Super Mech Walker #1 and Super Mech Walker #2 at the same time.

This makes the vehicle particularly interesting for:

  • base assaults;
  • vehicle-heavy PvP;
  • anti-air support;
  • area control;
  • forcing enemies to split their attention;
  • fighting defensive vehicles that rely heavily on reflection mechanics.

Best way to use Mech Transport X

1. Do not deploy both walkers automatically

Use the terrain and the number of enemies to decide whether one or two walkers are necessary. Keeping one in reserve can give you another option if the first walker is badly positioned.

2. Use the machine gun to pressure aircraft

The truck's machine gun is particularly useful against aerial targets, so you do not have to rely entirely on the walkers when aircraft enter the fight.

3. Focus dangerous targets

If the UGVs are following your machine-gun target, use that behavior to concentrate the entire vehicle's firepower on the opponent that presents the biggest immediate threat.

4. Recall before the walkers are isolated

Once the UGVs are too far from the truck or separated by terrain, recovering them can become awkward. Recall them while you still have control over the engagement.

5. Be careful when entering a recalled mech

Because of the current truck-breaking bug, entering a recalled walker should be treated as an optional tactic rather than the default way to use the vehicle.

Mech Transport X vs regular Mech Transport

Both vehicles share the same basic idea: a mobile truck with its own weapon and two deployable robotic combat units.

The major difference is the carried unit. The normal Mech Transport uses standard Mech Walkers, while Mech Transport X carries Super Mech Walkers. For players interested primarily in combat effectiveness, that is a major upgrade because the Super variant introduces a much more dangerous missile-based attack package.

Mech Transport X vs standalone Super Mech Walker

A standalone Super Mech Walker is simpler: you directly control one heavy assault platform. Mech Transport X is more about managing a small group.

If you prefer direct one-unit combat, the standalone walker may feel easier. If you prefer deploying autonomous units, creating multiple threats and controlling a larger area, Mech Transport X offers a more tactical playstyle.
